In response to the COVID19 pandemic and the suspension of the inter-association, competitive, instructional season Westborough Youth Football will be offering an in town flag football option for those interested this fall. The season will run from September 19th through October 31st and will offer kids a chance to play in a more physically distant manner while also eliminating sustained physical contact which had previously ranked football in the High Risk category.

This program will be run on Saturday and Sunday morning at Westborough High School and will be broken up into several age groups to ensure that kids are learning at the same level. The players will need to register in one of three age groups, U9, U11, or U13. The cutoff date for ages will be July 31st, 2020.

Signing up for this Fall Flag league will include a team jersey, a Rangers mask for players to wear, and a 6 week season. This program is meant to be a fun alternative and requires very little time commitment. Players will arrive 40 minutes prior to the start of their game to “practice” and then play a 50 minute game. The game will consist of 2 half’s and be played from the 40 yard line in to conform with the guidance from the Governors COVID19 committee.

Players that were registered for the Fall inter-association, competitive, instructional season will be able to transfer their paid registration to pay for this new opportunity! Registration will open on August 22nd and run through September 8th. You can register y
